Henry had walked all the way to the car and JJ was keeping up with him. “Slow down, buddy..” JJ said, looking back over her shoulder. People had started to round up their own kids and head home. “What kind of pizza do you want?” Henry asked as he looked up at Spencer. JJ dug out the key from her purse and unlocked the car. She opened the door for He ry and waited for him to climb in.

Spencer knelt down slightly, helping buckle Henry into the car. “I’ll eat whatever you and your mom want, I’m not too picky,” he smiled, ruffling the boy’s hair before closing the door. He got into the passenger’s seat, looking over at JJ as she started the car. “What sounds good to you, Jay?”

JJ bent down totalk to Henry. “I think that’s a wonderful idea. We can pick some pizza up onthe way home.” she said before kissing his cheek. As she stood back up, Henry took her hand. He started to walk towards the car, pulling JJ with him.

Spencer walked a few steps behind the two for a moment, a wide grin spreading across his face involuntarily as he thought for a moment about how much his life has changed in the past few months. Though he’d wanted exactly this for years, he would have never dreamed of doing anything while she was seemingly happy with Will. Everything seemed almost too good to be true: he was married to the love of his life, Henry accepted and loved him as a father-figure, and they were expecting a baby of their own. He shook his head, snapping out of his thoughts

He caught up to the pair, taking Henry’s other hand in his as they walked to the car.

“Look guys, I’m swinging by myself!” he called happily. JJ smiled and let out a quiet laugh. Her hands rest on top of his, fingers sliding in between his. “You’re doing wonderful, Henry.” she looked back Spencer and then back over to the little boy.

Spencer kissed the top of JJ’s head, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. “I realize I’m probably starting to sound like a broken record Jay, but you have an amazing little boy.” he spoke softly in her ear before planting a kiss on her cheek. His gaze shifted to Henry as he smiled.

“Well he is amazing.” JJ said back quietly. She leaned against him a little as he looked at Henry. He was starting to slow down but he didn’t seem to mind. Eventually he stopped and hopped offend swing. The little boy ran over to them and looked up. “I’m a bit hungry. Are we having dinner soon?” he asked, his eyes always moving to look at the next thing that grabbed his attention. JJ ruffled his hair. “Well what do you want for dinner?”

“Can we bring pizza home… and watch a movie?” Henry looked up at JJ and Spencer for approval, his eyes wide. Spencer nodded, “I think pizza and a movie sounds like an excellent idea, as long as your mom approves.” He gave JJ’s hand a slight squeeze before letting his hands fall to his sides.

When Spencer had walked over and offered to push, JJ nodded and gave Henry one last big push before moving away from the swing. Henry smiled as he came back down, swinging past Spencer. “Thanks for taking me to the park today!” he said happily as he swamy past the two. JJ leaned against the frame work of the swing set. She was happy to be here with them.

“No thank you for suggesting it, Henry,” Spencer laughed slightly as he pushed the boy on the swing. “Alright do you remember how to swing yourself? I think you should try now.” He stepped away, walking over to JJ. Henry smiled wide as he pumped his legs, pushing himself on the swing. Spencer wrapped his arms around JJ from behind, letting his hands rest gently on her stomach. “That’s great!” he called out to the little boy.
